This is for loose, crumbly baked goods such as muffins and quick breads. It is also one of the easier mixing methods
and great way for kids to be introduced to baking.

them.

Add all dry ingredients to a large bowl.

Whisk to combine dry ingredients.

In a separate medium bowl, mix wet ingredients together.

Ensure the wet ingredients are thoroughly mixed.

Create a well in the center of the dry ingredients with a mixing spoon.

Pour wet ingredients into well you have created.

Using a spoon or rubber spatula, mix wet and dry ingredients.

Mix until all the ingredients are just combined.
Notes:
Be sure to sift flour before adding the flour to the bowl.
Butter and/or oil and sugar are considered wet ingredients.
If using butter, make sure butter is melted.
Do not over mix the dough. Lumps of flour are okay.
